Manager’s Mantra :
Always bring your boots and trainers to every session, you never know when we might have to use the Astro pitch and you can’t go on it in boots. Shin pads are also mandatory and you can’t play without them.
Bring a drink and now the winter’s coming make sure you have a warm top to put on once we finish the match.
Be on time for matches and training as it means we can warm up and get ready for the game properly. It also means we are focused when we go into training and the drills we run are effective.
Listen…Listen…Listen…The coaches are there to help you get better and enjoy your football. If you are too busy talking you won’t know what to do and it makes the session harder for everyone.
Coach’s Corner :
Be positive in all your football and never ever be afraid of making mistakes, it just means you lose confidence and that impacts your performance.
Always want the ball and work on your first touch – all the world class players you watch on TV are able to control the ball instantly without thinking. That’s what you need to aim for.
Play in your position and always look for space and opportunities to move into it….always call for the ball and play with your head up.
Every week try one new skill or trick, and then keep practising. It’s the only way to get better !
